ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL OUTREACHAlumni Association (MITAA), to create and implement MITAA programs in person and virtually for and with alumni, parents, friends, and students (graduate and undergraduate) residing in the major international regions of Asia, Middle East, South America, and Europe.  Will build programming to engage international GSE students and alumni; serve as the primary campus liaison to MIT programs with an international focus; ensure that the MITAA international strategy is implemented by identifying, enlisting, and cultivating alumni volunteers/parents/friends/students; implement programs best suited for individual cities/interests; develop close working relationships with volunteer leaders/donors and vigorous, self-renewing volunteer leadership organizations; act as a catalyst/convener between various constituencies that would benefit each other and MIT; and convene/manage an international MITAA strategy team in alignment with the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and other internal international stakeholders.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED
: bachelor's degree; three years’ alumni relations, annual fund, marketing, or public relations experience in a university or nonprofit setting; demonstrated success developing programs strategically across multiple constituency groups to maximize results; excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; proactive approach to work and problem-solving; proficiency with standard PC applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, FileMaker, and PowerPoint); and expertise with or willingness to learn Encompass and social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Slack, Facebook). Must be able to determine goals and set priorities under tight deadlines; handle diverse tasks concurrently; recruit, motivate, train, and manage volunteers; and work as part of a team in a rapidly changing, service-oriented environment.  PREFERRED:  data analysis, marketing, and/or public relations skills; and knowledge of BSR Advance and web presentation software, e.g., WebEx.  Job #18502-7
