DMU is seeking to appoint a new Vice-Chancellor who will play a critical role in creating and delivering a clear vision for the University, fostering a culture of trust, respect, openness, support and collaboration. They will shape the strategic direction of the University, ensuring that effective systems, a strong culture and appropriate policies are in place to enable this. The appointed candidate will act as passionate supporter and advocate of DMU, fostering external partnerships locally, nationally and internationally. They will lead and support colleagues in delivering transformational education, a high-quality student experience and leading-edge applied research.

Applicants will be experienced senior leaders within higher education or an analogous context, having operated at executive level.  Strong candidates will have a track record of empowering and inspiring teams to perform at a high level through an inclusive, strategic and inspirational leadership style.  The ability to build credibility across the University and take informed and evidence-based decisions will be critical to this appointment.
