Job Description Summary
The Data Analyst will work on a funded research project studying counterfactual forecasting.
Manage the development and implementation of building software tools to perform data analysis, clarify expert’s intuitions and disseminate results. Collaboratively works with team members to identify required information, build informational data flows and perform mathematical modeling and statistical analysis. Independently analyzes large-group data to decision making. May provide data analysis expertise to one or more project or support teams. May work with vendor delivered solutions such as a forecasting platform.
Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Master's degree is strongly preferred. Required knowledge includes process and data modeling, data architectural development methodology and working knowledge of databases. Experience using data analysis tool and databases. Demonstrated competence in systems analysis and design and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies. Knowledge of counterfactual forecasting (required). Experience with simulation modeling in counterfactual worlds (preferred). Experience with R, SQL, NoSQL, C++, AWS or Azure (required).
