Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Graphic and Digital Designer to cover a period of maternity leave (likely to be 12 months) in the central creative within the Marketing and External Relations department. The team provides a strategic service that is integral to the delivery of the University's Strategy by providing innovative and expert marketing and communications advice and services.

The role

Working in collaboration with the team and University partners, you will be responsible for developing ideas, strong conceptual and creative solutions to support the recruitment and conversion of prospective students. You will join a small but busy creative team within the Marketing and External Relations department and work on multiple print and digital design projects, social campaigns, events and other promotions.

Who we are looking for

We're looking for a motivated and creative designer with studio experience and a proven ability of working to briefs to provide creative design solutions and original design concepts. You will have considerable experience managing design projects from concept through to delivery in a fast paced environment.

Essential skills:

  • Fluent in Adobe CC, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Excellence in concept generation and design craft, and ability to develop ideas away from screen.
  • Track record of delivering on-brand design to client briefs.
  • Sound knowledge of the print production process.
  • High levels of accuracy with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities.
  • Significant stakeholder management skills and evidence of strong working relationships

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of After Effects.
  • UX design experience
