Support the PI and research staff in carrying out complex research studies to examine the role of type III collagen in the regenerative and tumor microenvironments.
Job Description
Support the PI and research staff in carrying out complex research studies to examine the role of type III collagen in the regenerative and tumor microenvironments. This position will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, supplies and lab records. Perform general cell and molecular techniques, work with other lab research staff in the DNA/RNA preparation of canine, feline, and murine samples and gene and protein expression analysis by northern, real-time RT-PCR, western blot, ELISAs and immunochemistry. The Research Specialist B will handle tissue processing, cell culturing, and in vivo murine studies. Data analysis of studies performed will also be required. There will be times when this position must work independently. Occasional evenings/weekend required.
BA/BS and 1 - 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
