Information and Technology Services (ISTS) is responsible for the provision of UniSA’s considerable IT infrastructure and services and has approximately 160 staff in 9 key areas.

ISTS is customer focused and operated a service management framework based on AS8018 and provides seamless 24 x 7 x 52 service to students and staff. Information Strategy and Technology Services has a commitment to staff development and provides a professional environment in which to work.

Reporting to the Deputy Director: ICT Infrastructure and Cyber Security this position will provide leadership to the Network Services team to ensure effective operation and service delivery by the team and become responsible for the development and delivery of effective and innovative information technology network services both across the university and to external clients to support teaching, learning and research, including formulation of high level strategy, policy development and service delivery related to the University’s Network Services environment.

Skills and Experience

Do you possess extensive technical expertise in implementing and managing emerging networking technologies, knowledge of technologies required to implement secure telephony and data networks in the Network Services environment and experience in the management of substantial capital and recurrent budgets relating to infrastructure replacement and maintenance? We are looking for an individual with detailed knowledge of industry trends relevant to the IT networking environment and practical knowledge and experience of the ITIL service management framework, particularly in relation to incident, change and problem management.

An understanding of, or experience working in, the Higher Education sector is desirable in this role.
