We are looking for an Information Assistant to join our Information & Operations team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of a responsive, high quality customer centric experience for our Staff and Students.
The University is continuing to make a significant investment in its IT and digital services provision to ensure consistency and high quality. The team provides innovative, reliable services which are continually adapted to meet the changing needs of staff and students, supporting them to become world class professionals. Information & Operations work as a part of wider Library Team and assist students, staff and guests in their use of the University's broad range of technologies and library services, helping them work smarter, faster and easier.
The role
The key focus of the role will to provide the efficient first line of Library and IT service to support to our students, academics and professional staff to maintain a suitable environment for study and research. You will support users with Library enquires, use of Library and IT resources and providing introductions to eResources and stock collections, working closely with colleagues in wider Library team.
Who we are looking for
Candidates will be excellent communicators, with experience of handling customer enquiries face to face, by telephone and electronically and will have experience of using a library and service management system.
Key to this position is strong customer focused experience along with a good working knowledge of common Library and IT applications, internet and digital information services.
