Based in the University’s Research and Enterprise Development (RED) Division, this is a new role and an exciting opportunity to lead a new Research and PGR Strategy Team in RED. We are looking for an experienced individual to play a leading role in the development and implementation of institutional research and postgraduate researcher (PGR) strategy and to lead University-wide strategic initiatives which underpin the University Vision and Strategy for research. You will also be Head of the Bristol Doctoral College (BDC), working in partnership with the Associate PVC (PGR) to support PGRs, academic supervisors and doctoral training entities (DTEs) across the University, and coordinating across the various units responsible for delivery of PGR strategy and the PGR student experience.
Experience of managing and developing significant team(s) or project(s) is essential. This role also requires someone who has excellent inter-personal communication and negotiation skills, who is able to work with and influence colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
The Head of BDC and Research Strategy is part of the RED Senior Management Group, reporting to the Director of Strategy, Information and Operations in RED.
It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 23rd March 2020. For informal enquiries, please contact Sophie Collet (sophie.collet@bristol.ac.uk).
