Our scholars are conducting world leading research in innovation, management science, organisation studies, health/public sector management, human/employment relations, business history, marketing, consumption, sustainability, international management and strategy. 

Our ongoing approach is to be critically reflective, analytical and evidence informed about the significant changes that face individuals, organisations, communities and policymakers in the 21st Century - changes that are driven by processes of globalisation, inequality, governance, entrepreneurialism and innovation in the advent of digital, network economies and the challenges of environmental and social sustainability. 

Since the Department’s inception in 2004 (as part of the School of Economics, Finance and Management), and in keeping with this inter-disciplinary ethos, we have appointed highly-respected staff from a wide range of complementary disciplines from management and organisation studies and beyond from other pure and applied social science fields.  

Our new School of Management is continuing its period of exciting growth which is creating further new opportunities. We are seeking high-calibre, original thinkers and innovators to help us pioneer a globally leading school. 

Working in tandem with the University’s new strategy and Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus development, we have a once in a life opportunity to create a new school, for a new age to address the big issues of our time.
