Overview

Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs. Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU as a vibrant and progressive University.

The Building, Projects and Planning team are responsible for planning, developing, managing and maintaining all University assets.

The Role

The Technical Design Manager is a member of the Building, Projects and Planning Team. This team focuses on planning and delivering the physical assets, providing strategic physical planning advice and managing accommodation within the University.

The Technical Design Manager has responsibility for ensuring facilities planning services are delivered efficiently and effectively to meet the strategic requirements of the University.

Required skills

Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience, or relevant tertiary qualification with extensive management experience and proven management expertise.

Experience:

  • Experience in developing program plans, coordinating resources, scheduling to ensure delivery of detailed planning requirements and information.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of all aspects of project management.
  • Relevant legislation and standards, particularly the Building Code of Australia, OSH and contracts such as AS2124.
  • Relevant space design and planning systems experience (i.e. AutoCAD).

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time ongoing position attracts remuneration of $101,636 - $114,474 (HEW 8) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
