Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics (Academic Education Pathway)

The School is looking for an outstanding academic who can make an exceptional contribution to our highly successful MA TESOL programme. They will lead the programme shaping theoretical content whilst keeping abreast of developments in the professional field. They will also be expected to chair the assessment sub-board for the School’s linguistics oriented masters programmes.
The role holder will be a member of the Centre for Language, Discourse and Communication (LDC). LDC is a major UK centre for Linguistics, Applied Linguistics and Language Education whose members conduct world-leading research and scholarship on language and discourse. The centre offers BA, Masters and Doctoral programmes.
The person appointed will hold a PhD in a relevant field and will bring extensive experience of teaching and education leadership in Higher Education as well as in English language teaching.
This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment, a presentation.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on 24 April 2020.
