We are looking for a creative and visionary leader for our School of Arts and Creative Industries, who can provide strategic direction for growth as well as inspiring leadership to a great team.

We are a creative, supportive and lively School with active, experienced professionals and researchers. Our facilities, industry links and innovative teaching combine to produce award-winning graduates. Edinburgh Napier is a leading, modern university. We create and support personalised learning and research opportunities for students, staff and partners that nurture talent, create knowledge and shape communities around the world.

This is an exciting time to consider a Senior Leadership role as Dean of School here at Edinburgh Napier University. The role

The successful candidate will share our commitment to drive forward and build on our current achievements, providing strategic direction for growth within our School, proactively seeking out opportunities to champion our work.

Attracting and retaining the best possible talent, the Dean will grow our research and professional activities so that the School has a strong academic standing both nationally and internationally. The Dean will have responsibility for driving staff to support strong networks and utilise these to drive innovation. Being the budget holder and driver of commercial growth, the Dean will grow School income through research, partnerships and international activities and ensure we invest in the latest resources to provide the best experience for our students.

Exceptional influencing and networking skills are critical in this role, alongside the ability to identify, and nurture areas of collaboration and commercial growth in Edinburgh and beyond.
