The purpose of this post is to support the activities of the Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals (TLHP) team within the Centre for Health Sciences for Education (CHSE). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued high-quality delivery of a large postgraduate taught Programme (250+ part time students).
The centre also run workshops, educational conferences and academic consultancy delivered to University and Clinical Academy staff. These activities require you to have responsibility for the preparation of learning resources, booking of rooms, catering requirements and clear communication with invited speakers. The attention to detail to ensure the smooth running of these activities is vital.
The Secretarial Assistant is involved in the co-ordination of units, assessments, workshops, evaluations, learner support and day-to-day office administration. You will work alongside and with the day-to-day supervision of the Senior Post Graduate Administrator and Academic Staff teaching on the programme. You will need to have exemplary communication skills, a personable manner and be responsible for prioritising your key tasks within a set of clear guidelines and policies.
