Job description

The University is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Upskilling Lancashire multi-partner project funded by the European Social Fund. The successful applicant will take responsibility for the operational delivery of the project and support the project team to engage with Lancashire employers and employees in developing new and relevant workforce learning, skills and apprenticeship opportunities.

The Project Manager will develop and support effective co-operation across the project partnership and ensure the project is successful in working across a network of employers, to deliver the project outcomes on time and on budget.  The post-holder will support a team of project officers to establish links with employers and businesses across Lancashire, undertaking organisation needs analysis and developing capacity building projects that will increase engagement in skills learning and apprenticeships.

Experience of sales, marketing or training development is essential. Education to degree level or equivalent professional experience is required, as is evidence of team leadership, attention to detail and project planning skills.
