At TU Dresden, Faculty of Physics, Institute of Theoretical Physics, the Chair of Theory of Condensed Matter offers a position as

Research Associate / PhD Student 
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting as soon as possible. The position entails 75% of the fulltime weekly hours and is limited for 3 years. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG. The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. PhD). 

Tasks: research concerning the theory of topological and unconventional superconductivity, in particular on effects of interactions beyond BCS theory.

Requirements: university degree in physics; in-depth knowledge in theoretical physics; experi¬ence in the model-based theory of condensed matter; proficiency in German or English; ability and motivation for doing outstanding research both independently and in collaborations, in par¬ticular within the Cluster of Excellence Complexity and Topology in Quantum Matter (ct.qmat).
