Position overview

The Open School of Music at the ANU is seeking an experienced administrator to assist with the delivery of our adult, community and pre-tertiary music programs. The successful applicant will be familiar with the Open School of Music's programs and have experience in working with stakeholders from a diverse range of age groups and backgrounds. As well as assisting with the day-to-day running of the Open School office, the successful applicant will be a talented communicator able to produce a regular newsletter and independently handle correspondence from students, teachers and members of the general public.

Regular duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assistance with room bookings for regular classes and special events;
  • Internal and external communications;
  • Monitoring of Open School equipment;
  • Preparation of programs for recitals and concerts, and;
  • Basic HR and other office procedures as required.

The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice. Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their research, and 57 are members of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia, or both. We also host 13 Australian Research Council Future Fellows and three ARC Laureates.
