Assistant Lecturer (holding the title of Senior School Support Officer) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 499653) (to commence as soon as possible until July 31, 2021, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant field, a postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent, at least 5 years’ post-qualification teaching experience, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, highly developed communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Solid research experience in relation to teaching Chinese for non-Chinese speaking pre-primary students is a must.
The appointee will assist the Project Director to conceptualize the project experiences and findings to generate research papers for publication, develop good exemplars and pedagogical approaches with reference to our collaborations with kindergartens, write progress reports and evaluation reports for the project, conduct dissemination activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
