Developing tomorrow’s global business leaders

Are you interested in creating entrepreneurial, creative and effective leaders that are ready to make an impact in the business world? Are you able to develop and deliver an innovative and effective learning experience with real world application to help students grow personally and academically?

Southampton Business School is AACSB accredited and a Guardian University Guide Top 10 Business School with ambitious plans for growth, including EQUIS accreditation within the next 12 months. The Business School is driven by innovation and enterprise and brings together experts from a diverse range of fields including management and leadership, marketing, healthcare and engineering. This forms a key component of the University of Southampton, a world-renowned Top 100 QS ranked Russell Group University with a global reputation for academic excellence.

We are in an exciting phase of expansion as part of the University’s ambitious strategy and looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to take responsibility and develop our highly successful AMBA-accredited MBA programme. You will be responsible for significantly increasing recruitment to the MBA programme by identifying and capitalising on new opportunities in growth markets. In addition, you will lead on developing new marketing initiatives, partnerships and programmes to deliver a world class research and learning environment that meets the demanding needs of today’s professionals and tomorrow’s business leaders.

About you
You will have a PhD (or equivalent qualifications/experience), along with an established academic reputation within a relevant discipline for the Business School and ideally a proven track record in successfully managing a global MBA programme with a diverse cohort.  You will be an engaged and visible leader with a collegiate approach to management and have a passion for enhancing the Southampton MBA for a global market.

What we can offer you
Based at our lively Highfield campus, you will have access to state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, as well as our sports complex, Hartley Library and Staff Social Centre.  Having secured a £300m bond investment we are committed to investing in the University’s future and long-term stability.

We offer some fantastic benefits including 44 days leave per year, options for flexible working, excellent family leave arrangements (including maternity, paternity, adoption, parental and carers leave), a wide variety of on and off-campus arts and culture facilities and access to a range of staff discounts and offers at local shops, restaurants and service providers.

The UoS is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity to create an inclusive working environment. We believe this can be achieved through attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse range of staff from many different backgrounds who share our ambition to be a university recognised for delivering world-class research and creating a community that values independent thought.
