We are seeking a NMC registered mental health nurse educator, with experience of working in a higher education setting, to join our Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing portfolio team. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed School of Health Sciences,  part of the highly successful and vibrant Faculty of Education, Health & Human Sciences. The School delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes that lead to registration in nursing, midwifery, health visiting/school nursing, speech and language therapy, and paramedic science. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and the Faculty’s PhD in Health & Social Care programme. We have a vibrant research culture contributing fully to the faculty’s ambitious and achievable long-term plan to build internationally leading research. The School is frequently commended for our partnership working and we are currently number one in London in Nursing for the quality of our teaching and overall student satisfaction.

You will have experience of providing  high quality teaching, curriculum development and quality management and enhancement in higher education.  As a member of the Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing portfolio team you will contribute fully to teaching on the School’s mental health nursing courses (pre and post-qualifying) and will also have opportunity  to contribute to modules across our courses according to expertise. You will also work closely with our partner Trusts, supporting students, practice supervisors and practice educators. You will be linked into one of our centres within the Institute of Lifecourse Development providing you with  numerous opportunities to engage with research, enterprise and knowledge exchange.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship.  Opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme.
