We are seeking to appoint a Research Development Manager to join a highly valued team based within the Research and Enterprise Division.
You will work within a professional, highly motivated team and with the academic community to provide strategic support for the research within the Faculty of Science in the first instance but also across the other Faculties where appropriate. In addition to providing expert advice on preparation of major or strategic research bids, identifying and evaluating key opportunities for research funding, you will contribute to training in various formats and lead and facilitate workshops to develop new potentially interdisciplinary areas of research.
We are looking for someone who can both work in a team and on their own initiative and you should have either a postgraduate degree or equivalent experience and have a good knowledge of research funding. Experience of working in the HE or funding sector would be particularly useful. Strong interpersonal, organisational and IT skills are essential.
It is anticipated that interviews will take place on 10 March 2020 (pm).
Please contact Jane Khawaja (jane.khawaja@bristol.ac.uk), for further information or an informal discussion about the role.
We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
