The role

We are currently recruiting for a PA to the Dean of the School of Arts and Creative Industries. This crucial role will provide confidential PA and administrative support to the Dean, undertaking a range of duties including proactively managing the Dean's diary, effective record keeping, scheduling and servicing of meetings, arranging travel and supporting the Dean in all aspects of her work. The role will also provide an administrative service to key senior members of the School leadership team in support of the School's strategic objectives. The PA will liaise with a range of stakeholders including senior figures from external institutions as well as senior leaders across the university.

This role will be based at our Merchiston campus.

What we're looking for

You will have demonstrable secretarial or PA experience from within a busy office environment, within the higher education sector would be beneficial but is not essential. You will be experienced in balancing competing demands and priorities and supporting more than one senior executive. Qualified with an HND or equivalent you will be able to work within a fast paced environment managing and organising your workload as appropriate. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build stakeholder relationships across a range of sectors and disciplines.
