The University of Manitoba invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean, Faculty of Architecture.

Established in 1963, the Faculty of Architecture’s urban-prairie setting is Canada’s central crucible of creativity and cultural complexity, offering a stimulating environment for work that is both artistically ambitious, as it is socially and environmentally responsible. Comprised of the Departments of Architecture, City Planning, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture, as well as the multidisciplinary undergraduate program in Environmental Design, the Faculty is the first across Canada to offer four fully accredited postgraduate, built-environment programs - Master of Architecture, Master of City Planning, Master of Interior Design and Master of Landscape Architecture - in addition to a newly invigorated PhD program in Design and Planning. The Faculty houses an interdisciplinary research laboratory (the Centre for Architectural Structures and Technology) and maintains productive partnerships with professionals, industry partners, community members and international leaders in architecture and design. Faculty members are strongly dedicated to teaching and advancing the discipline, which speaks to the Faculty’s enriching student experience and excellent placement record. The Faculty of Architecture presents an attractive destination for both students and academics in the field, given its focus upon design excellence and teaching, combined with its commitment to improving the quality of the built environment.
