Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 499581), to commence in May 2020 for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences, medical sciences, virology, entomology or a related discipline. Outstanding and self-motivated candidates with a proven research track record are encouraged to apply. Experience in molecular biology, virology and entomology is expected. Proficiency in BSL-3 laboratory and field work will be an advantage. The appointee will conduct independent and collaborative research to investigate threats posed by mosquito-borne viruses, involving field studies, entomology, vector competence and basic research on virus pathogenesis. Opportunity for overseas laboratory attachment is available.
