The Teaching and Learning Academy, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven individual to support, at an institutional level the collection, analysis and communication of institutional data, including University surveys and Access and Participation Plan data. You will contribute to ongoing institutional research projects in order to enhance the curriculum and inform institutional participation in national assessment frameworks.

You should have close familiarity with one or more statistical packages (e.g. SPSS, Stata or SAS) and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the assumptions underlying statistical procedures and of the interpretation of statistical findings. You should possess good communication skills, initiative and enthusiasm for educational research, and be able to work effectively in a team.

You will report directly to Dr Elena Zaitseva, Academic Research and Development Officer, to conduct in depth quantitative analysis of existing institutional data sets and collect and analyse qualitative data from LJMU students.

You will play a key role in supporting research developments, so candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently to conduct mixed methods research, and to disseminate the findings to interested institutional and sector wide stakeholders.
