We are seeking an exceptional candidate with the expertise, skills and personal attributes to bring inspirational leadership and strategic direction to the Academic Quality team in Academic Services. This integrated team is responsible for the delivery of high-quality support to Faculties and academic partners to ensure the effective implementation of the University’s quality assurance and enhancement framework.

You will lead the delivery of user-focused, integrated services which support the vision of the University as set out in BU 2025. As a member of the executive team, you will contribute to the strategic development of Academic Services, and the achievement of Academic Services’ plans and priorities.

You will have a professional background in HE and significant experience at a senior level of strategic leadership and management in a similar academic quality context. You will have experience of taking a lead role in the management and development of enabling institution-wide quality frameworks and processes, and a track record of implementing continuous enhancement.

You should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the current regulatory framework for HE including the Office for Students conditions of registration, and relevant sector developments together with substantial experience of leading process improvements that deliver efficiencies and transform service delivery. Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills are essential as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and partners.
