POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE IN MATRIX BIOLOGY, Chemistry, to work in the areas of osteoarthritis, cartilage homeostasis, collagen biochemistry, and proteomics as part of a collaborative project between the laboratories of Professor Matt Shoulders at MIT in Cambridge, MA and of Professors John Bateman and Shireen Lamande at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia. Will aim to define molecular mechanisms of proteostasis breakdown related to osteoarthritis and collagen biogenesis.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, or cell biology. Seek an innovative, interactive, and broadly trained individual with a strong track record in matrix biology and preferably with expertise in osteoarthritis or other extracellular matrix diseases. Experience in tissue culture, imaging, proteomics, stem cell biology, and cell signaling is desired. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Job #16292

This is a temporary, one-year appointment beginning as soon as possible with the potential for renewal.

Will split time between MIT in Cambridge and MCRI in Melbourne.
