MANAGER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P)-Architecture, to collaborate on managing the infrastructure, support, maintenance, and operations of IT systems, hardware and software, and help desk services as part of the CRON team. Will manage a team supporting a large community and wide range of technology and services while providing proactive and effective technical support and planning. Responsibilities include off- and on-site incident response, problem management, endpoint management, project management, knowledge management, file server administration and management, vendor relationship management, business analysis, and informing overall technical strategy for SA+P departments.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: B.A./B.S. in information technology, computer science, or similar field; five years’ systems administration and help desk support experience; commitment to excellence in customer service; ability to anticipate and respond to client needs, set priorities, multitask, delegate, and take initiative; experience supporting Mac, Windows, Windows Server, iOS, and Android platforms and diagnosing/resolving problems across their software/hardware/managed service product lines; experience with endpoint and server management services/tools (preferably SCCM, Casper, Active Directory, and VMware platforms; Active Directory container administration; networking; and printing); familiarity with desktop and server virtualization; strong diagnostic skills and working knowledge of current technology to resolve escalated customer complaints without supervisor intervention; familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or similar web application environment and cloud computing and cloud storage APIs (Azure, AWS, Dropbox), Kerberos and AFS; ability to design/build custom solutions using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python) and third-party APIs; ability to take ownership of technical issues, rapidly learn and assimilate new technologies, and navigate a range of technical problems.
