Salary £19,133 - £21,236 per annum (Pro rata)
Closing date for applications 16-Feb-2020

The Students’ Health Service provides NHS General Practice Care to approximately 21,000 students and their dependents.

We are seeking to recruit a part-time (25 hours per week) Administration Assistant to join a team of 7 secretaries and administration staff in a busy office supporting a large team of GPs, nurses and other health care professionals.

The hours of work will be 8.30am-1.30pm, Monday to Friday, University term-time only (32 weeks per year).

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for scanning and filing correspondence from other healthcare organisations, assisting patients with queries in person and on the telephone, booking appointments, handling telephone calls from patients and clinicians, monitoring emails and correspondence. Ideally we are seeking someone who has experience in general practice and EMIS Web, although this is not essential as full training will be given.

The role is varied and would suit an individual who is comfortable multi-tasking in a busy but supportive working environment. Informal enquiries about the role can be sent to Mary Mellor and/or Katie McNeill  Mary.Mellor2@nhs.net; K.Mcneill@nhs.net

It is anticipated that interviews will be held towards the end of February/early March.

Please note the application process is only via the University Website, please apply below.

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
