PROGRAMMER ANALYST III, Resource Development-Office of Strategic Information Management, to provide programming and database support to MIT's enterprise fundraising systems which is comprised of Ellucian Advance Web software, Oracle DBMS, and a variety of other integrated systems. The Resource Development Information Technology (RD-IT) team provides technical management and services in support of fundraising efforts across the Institute. Will develop reports and reporting infrastructure, AdvanceWeb modules, and data maintenance routines and fulfill ad-hoc information requests. Will work on projects independently or as part of a team and interact with RD-IT staff as well as client stakeholders.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; five years’ programming experience, including three years of in-depth experience with Oracle or other DBMS; experience using SQL and/or PL/SQL programming languages in the context of reporting; experience with Crystal Reports, Tableau, or other enterprise reporting software; discretion with confidential information; flexibility; the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting changing deadlines, adopt new technologies, and present information in a clear and cohesive manner; and comfort working in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
PREFERRED: experience with Ellucian AdvanceWeb; knowledge of data mapping, data modeling, mining, or visualization; experience with software version control systems; knowledge of UNIX and navigating the UNIX environment; knowledge of web technologies and tools, e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS; a degree in computer science, information technology, math, or similar discipline; and experience in fundraising or related area.
