Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff. The University has a strategic ambition to increase the participation of under-represented groups in creative higher education, particularly BAME students and those from lower income backgrounds.

Reporting to the PVC Student Experience and Resources, we are looking to appoint an Access and Participation Development Manager. The role will assist in the continued development and implementation of its Access and Participation Plan (APP); including identifying and recommending actions to bring about improvement where APP performance targets are not met or performance declines. The role will also lead on monitoring and evaluating actions and reporting on progress to Senior Management.

The successful applicant will demonstrate an aptitude for achieving an in depth understanding of the Office for Students (OfS) guidance regarding access and participation; have both an understanding and good working knowledge of systems and processes involved in analysing, interpreting and reporting around data; and a strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and the work of the HE sector in addressing this. Full details of the essential and desirable criteria for this role which should be demonstrated in your application can be found in the job description.
