Job description

The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences is committed to providing the best possible student experience and as part of this commitment we are seeking to appoint a 0.4FTE Lecturer to the Pharmacy Practice team. You will join a School that has the full 6 years' re-accreditation for the MPharm programme from the General Pharmaceutical Council and now also offers an expanding suite of postgraduate provision, including an MSc in Advanced Pharmacy Practice and Independent Prescribing.

The successful candidate will contribute to the academic course management, teaching and external liaison of the MPharm and postgraduate programmes in the School, as well as helping with course developments across the practice portfolio. The successful applicant needs to hold current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council, as well as being an Independent Prescriber, and will ideally be registered with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Current/recent experience of working in a primary or secondary care setting is essential, along with holding a good honours degree in a relevant area. Experience of teaching in FE or HE is desirable, along with being qualified as a prescriber. A motivated and enthusiastic individual, the successful candidate will be an active networker, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
