Job description
The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit a Senior IT Developer to play a key role in the development and delivery of key corporate IT projects. The successful candidate will development, support and maintain systems, integrations and interfaces, including web-based and SQL based administration systems. The post is 2 years fixed term contract.
Skills will include
- Experience of system development using SQL databases
- Experience of developing applications using either Microsoft .NET C# or Oracle PL/SQL
- Working in an Enterprise Architecture framework
- Experience of Database modelling
- Knowledge of agile project management methods and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
In order to support the university, you will need a good knowledge of current and emerging technologies and an aptitude to apply these technologies in a Higher Educational environment. You must demonstrate a customer focussed approach to all your work with the ability to communicate effectively at both a technical and non-technical level. The ability to work effectively as an individual and part of a team is essential. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level in a relevant area or possess the equivalent work experience.
