ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), to assist with all administrative needs in the EECS Graduate Office.  Academic-related duties will include managing and monitoring the graduate program’s Professional Perspective Requirement; advising students on requirements; collaborating with International Scholar’s Office on visa-related issues; collecting, reviewing, and maintaining required documentation to fulfill the requirement.  Will also act as the administrator for the EECS Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion by arranging and attending all committee meetings, coordinating various events, and preparing annual report; assist with graduate admissions by maintaining information in various MIT and EECS systems, maintaining faculty research listing pamphlet, verifying enrolling students information, and composing/editing/distributing admission letters; coordinate both large and small events for the EECS graduate program; serve as the face of the EECS graduate office, welcoming and directing visitors and answering questions; and perform additional tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years’ secretarial, office, or related experience; excellent organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with others at all levels, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work both independently and as part of a team; initiative; flexibility; attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office software; and discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues.
