The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is passionate about the principles and application of science and technology in all its forms and strives to be excellent in research, teaching and innovation. The Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation has particular strengths in health and wellbeing, the role of exercise and physical activity in the management of chronic health conditions, exercise recovery and neuromuscular adaptations, and the optimisation of human performance.

Working within the Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation, you will provide expertise in the area of Sport, Exercise and/or Rehabilitation.  The Department will consider high quality applications in any area of related teaching and research but are particularly looking for candidates with expertise in rehabilitation sciences. This role will include designing and delivering high quality teaching activities, undertaking individual and joint research to produce high quality, internationally recognised, academic outputs and participating in external activity to generate income and promote the subject.  

You must hold a first degree and be either qualified, or soon to be qualified, to doctoral level, in a relevant subject, have expertise in the relevant subject area with specialist knowledge gained through research excellence. A proven ability to deliver high quality research informed teaching within an appropriate field and a strong research profile are essential for this role.
