Job Description Summary

Program Associate (PA) is expected to provide support for the Director and Deputy Director of both Philadelphia and Alabama offices of Forward Promise (FP). FP is a Philanthropic National Program Office funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to fund community based agencies who provide services to improve the health and well-being of Boys and Young Men of Color.

Job Description

The Program Associate will serve as office manager in the Philadelphia office of Forward Promise (FP) and will be responsible, with the Director of FP, establishing policies that maintain clear communication between the National Program Office (NPO) and the Business Office of the University of Pennsylvania. The PA will is the major contact person to the grantee organizations of the FP Grants Program and supports them in developing their definitions of culturally responsive practices, trauma, and healing and in integrating  these practices in their work on behalf of Boys and Young Men of Color (BYMOC), their families and their neighborhoods. The PA is the major point person to manage the quantity and quality of technical assistance provided to our grantees from consultants and experts in the field of BYMOC health. This assistance may include establishing and monitoring webinars for the grantees on the latest research, health, and coping challenges and solutions facing BYMOC. The PA is expected to write reports of grantee perspectives and progress that can help FP influence and shape the national field of BYMOC health. The PA will also be asked to represent the NPO in local and national conference and speaking events regarding improving the health of BYMOC. This position is contingent upon grant funding until 1/20/21.
