Job Description

The research specialist will contribute to multiple neuroimaging research studies of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias conducted by the Penn Memory Center (PMC) and Penn Image Computing and Science Laboratory (PICSL). The primary duties of the position are to execute advanced software pipelines developed by PMC/PICSL and others in the field, collect data and perform statistical analysis and data visualization using packages such as R, SciPy, or MATLAB; develop custom analysis scripts and pipelines using Bash scripting and/or Python programming; as well as quality control of image data, data organization, and data annotation (such as labeling/outlining lesions or anatomical structures on brain MRI scans manually or semi-automatically). The research specialist will have the opportunity to contribute as a co-author to journal manuscripts. The research specialist will be supervised by clinician-researchers and Ph.D. level computational image analysis experts.

This position is contingent on funding.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience requied.
