The GW4 Alliance is seeking an experienced research and innovation development specialist to join our dynamic team based in Bristol.

The GW4 Alliance brings together four of the most research-intensive and motivated universities in the UK; the universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter. Together, we have the research and innovation capacity, capability and inspiration to deliver cross-sectoral partnerships and solve global challenges at a scale not possible by a single university. We have the commitment to respond to major policy developments, attract global talent through doctoral training and work in partnership to drive innovation and globally competitive R&D.

This is an exciting opportunity to join GW4 to implement our ambitious vision for the partnership. Guided by a dynamic and committed senior leadership team across the universities, you will interact with academic and management teams across the Alliance, external regional stakeholders, and funders of research. Working closely with the Director and centralised GW4 team, GW4 Programme Managers embedded within the universities and institutional research managers, you will drive strategic initiatives across the partnership. This career opportunity will suit a dynamic individual with ambition and a keen, broad interest research management within higher education.

You should have experience in research, and in research administration and/or strategic management, ideally obtained in a higher education institution and/or funding agency.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be addressed to Sarah Perkins (s.perkins@gw4.ac.uk).

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
