Job Description

We seek a motivated individual to become an integral member of a molecular biology lab with a focus on studies of kidney disease development. The applicant will primarily be involved in collecting and analyzing human tissue samples, microdissecting samples, organizing clinical and histological information. In addition the incumbent will be performing research experiments, but also will be involved in directing aspects of the research activities of a laboratory.

• Collect and organize human tissue samples, collect clinical and histological information and organize
• Microdissect human kidney tissue samples
• Isolate RNA and DNA, measure concentration and examine quality
• Perform and genotyping quantitative PCR
• Prepare histological slides, cutting and staining of samples
• Compile and document research results and assist in data interpretation
• Operate computer equipment in the collection and tabulation of research results
• Send and receive samples and data interact with collaborators
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 0-1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

This position is contingent on funding.
