Play a pivotal role in shaping, delivering and championing market-leading approaches to digital and distributed learning. You will be integral to increasing and reshaping the University’s student population. You will provide vision and leadership in the pedagogically driven development, implementation and monitoring of distributed and digital learning – from deploying new technology, to helping staff make the most of it.

THE ROLE

  • Increase access to a first-rate university education for a diverse and global student population on and off-campus – enhancing the experience of current students, while opening up opportunities for new audiences.
  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of the development of digital and distributed learning, working closely with senior stakeholders and partners in respect of both pedagogy and development.
  • Promote among students and academic staff the benefits and effective use of technology to enhance education, while ensuring stakeholder needs are met, and strong student experiences delivered.

ABOUT YOU

Recognised for your achievements in innovative teaching and education, you will bring to the role in-depth knowledge of global trends in HE. You demonstrate a deep understanding of diverse educational delivery models and their challenges.

Digital learning is a key focus in your research and teaching career – which includes hands-on experience of developing or managing digital HE degree courses. Insights into what makes for an excellent student experience will be key to your success.

A flair for influencing and negotiation is vital. An inspirational communicator, you have what it takes to manage and enthuse teams, forge strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, and drive supplier performance through complex projects.
