The University of Sheffield is seeking to recruit a Director of Campaigns (permanent or interim) to work in partnership with the Vice Chancellor and senior leadership to develop and deliver the university’s first major campaign.

As a highly experienced fundraising leader, you will act as a figurehead for fundraising across the University and lead on the development of strategies to secure transformational gifts to the University. You will be adept in networking and relationship building at the highest levels and able to develop strong trusted relationships with critical stakeholders internally and externally. You will have exceptional influencing skills, the ability to communicate and listen, to build rapport and inspire action.

With your proven track record in principal gift fundraising you will lead by example and work closely with the Deputy Director and the fundraising team to deliver their targets.  You will have experience of leading teams to deliver ambitious targets and be able to develop an ambitious, collaborative team culture.

You will also understand the importance of strategic alumni relations and enable the team to focus efforts on building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with alumni. As a champion of alumni volunteering you will guide the team to work across the university to deploy alumni volunteers in support of research, teaching and student experience.
