The University of Sheffield is seeking to recruit a Deputy Director of Campaigns to support and shape the University’s fundraising strategy and major gift fundraising to help deliver the University’s first major campaign.

You will provide critical support to the Director of Campaigns, working in close partnership with the Vice Chancellor and Executive team to drive a successful campaign.  You will be a strong leader, with a background in leading, motivating and enhancing the performance of a growing team.  You will lead by example as front line fundraiser and share your knowledge and experience as a coach to the team.

You will be a highly experienced fundraiser with a strong track record of successfully securing major gifts, and, in collaboration with the Director and the team, you will secure numerous, transformational donations from high-net-worth individuals and trusts and foundations. You will have experience of devising cultivation and solicitation strategies and a track record of managing a portfolio of major gifts prospects. 

As an excellent communicator and a great listener, you will be able to build rapport and develop long-term relationships with influential alumni and high level donors. You will also bring these skills to your work with senior colleagues in the University, developing strong working relationships and working in partnership with other teams.
