Northumbria University is a partner on the NiHR funded project, “Football Fans and Betting (FFAB): a feasibility study and randomised pilot trial of a group-based intervention to reduce gambling involvement among male football fans.” We will be developing a personal tracking / diary application for use by participants in the intervention.
The project will be led by the University of Glasgow with partners throughout the UK, including football clubs and third sector organizations.
The holder of this role will contribute to the design and development of a web and mobile diary application. We are looking for someone with strong software development skills, ideally in cross platform development (e.g. React, Flutter, etc.) and experience building on platforms including Firebase. Alternatively, you may have strong skills in prototyping, requirements analysis, user research, interaction design, and/or user centered design.
Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills required for working with diverse partners and stakeholders. The ability to work through unclear and conflicting requirements and deliver a quality end product will be important.
