The School of Computer Science at the University of Lincoln has scored highly in recent independent performance measures of UK University computing departments and has consistently remained well above the sector average for graduate employability.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the area of Cyber Security & Networks. You will deliver modules in core computer science and contribute specifically to areas related to Cyber Security, Networks, and Cloud Computing, both in theory and in practice, including topics such as security fundamentals, physical and virtual networks, encryption and secure programming. You will contribute to the University’s ambition to achieve TEF Gold in the Computing subject area, international recognition as a research-intensive and innovative institution, encourage or facilitate commercial enterprise and partnerships, supervise postgraduate research students and contribute to wider activities of the School.

Candidates should possess a PhD or equivalent experience, ideally in computer or information science and preferably with a track record in the delivery of study modules at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the University’s high standards in teaching and learning. Your research interests and professional practice will form an integral part of the programme leadership team at the School of Computer Science, working together with the other academics of the group. Candidates with a relevant industry or professional background that complements the School's current staff profiles are welcome. Considering the potential scope of applications, a tangible experience of defence, military, digital policing and/or security domains would specially be desirable in order to complement our current expertise, and to engage with or develop related programmes in the School.

The University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious institution and you will be working in the heart of a thriving, beautiful, safe and friendly city. The School provides a stimulating learning community for teaching and academic research, and it is located on the picturesque waterfront campus in the vibrant city of Lincoln. Since 2017, the School has moved into purpose-built state-of-the-art facilities.
