Role Description

Cranfield University is a wholly postgraduate university, specialising in science, technology, engineering and management. It has a global reputation for excellence in teaching and research, for industrial scale facilities and for its links with some of the most recognised names in industry and commerce.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic marketer to join our student recruitment marketing team. This role is within the International Partnerships and Student Recruitment (IPSR) department which has been established to provide an excellent service to all our stakeholders. IPSR acts as a centre of excellence and ensures that audience needs are served ‘end to end’, supporting colleagues within the University to deliver a creative, efficient and effective service that places customers at the heart of the operation.

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to help us recruit high quality students from around the world onto our Master’s programmes and support our B2B pipeline for CPD and apprenticeships programmes. This is an exciting and diverse role where you will need a broad range of marketing skills, creativity and personal drive. In return the role offers great diversity in day-to-day activity, working alongside a team of marketing professionals and support in the further development of your marketing skills.

You will have professional marketing experience across a range of offline and online media, with the ability to plan and coordinate the delivery of campaigns independently. You will be good at building collaborative working relationships and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret complex technical language to form engaging messaging and communications. Knowledge of web CMS/CRM systems, automated workflows, content production and distribution using tools including Hubspot, LinkedIn and other social platforms is highly desirable.

A good standard of A Level or equivalent education is essential and a Degree in Marketing is desirable. You will also be willing to travel to recruitment events in the UK and occasionally overseas.

For an informal discussion, please contact Kate Steadman, Marketing Partner, on (T); +44 (0)1793 78 5766 or (E); k.steadman@cranfield.ac.uk

At Cranfield, we value Diversity and Inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential. We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role.

Company

Cranfield is world-leading in its contribution to global innovation. With our emphasis on the aerospace, agrifood, defence and security, environmental technology, leadership and management, manufacturing and transport systems sectors, we have changed the way society thinks, works and learns.

We generate and transform knowledge, translating it to the benefit of society. Our partners, from micro SMEs to the largest blue-chip multinationals, from governments across the world to NGOs and charities, tell us this is what they value about Cranfield.

Innovation is part of Cranfield’s ‘corporate DNA’, evolved over 60 years of commitment to this agenda.

Our work informs policy for governments and produces new technologies and products for the world of commerce. We draw on this pool of research and consultancy to provide our students with a distinctive ‘real-world’ learning environment, allowing them to develop as professionals and transfer their new knowledge to the global economy. This has always been the ‘Cranfield way’ but it has never been more important than in today’s world.

People are key to our competitive advantage and so we need to attract, develop and retain the best talent for our business. We aim to create a culture where you can flourish and succeed and, in turn, contribute towards Cranfield’s success.
