Job Description Summary

The Grants Manager will support the research activities of the School of Engineering and Applied Science by managing sponsored program funds and working with Principal Investigators on proposal development, budget development and related pre-award and post-award requirements and submissions.

Job Description

The Grants Manager will manage the sponsored program funds from pre-award through post-award; work with Principal Investigators on proposal development, budget development and related pre-award requirements and submission for a diverse sponsor portfolio; manage the post-award processes, including monitoring and review of all charges, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of monthly financial reports for Principal Investigators; consult with research faculty in the preparation of sponsored project budget and proposals; review proposals for compliance with sponsor and University policies and ensure Regulatory Affairs requirements are satisfied and that Conflict of Interest statements are submitted when required; provide full accounting services, reconciling budgets, processing payroll, and financial reporting; monitor grant expenditures for compliance with sponsor regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with pre-award and post-award requirements. A working knowledge of grant and contract policies and regulations. Ability to manage deadlines and manage exceptions and last-minute changes.
