The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Sciences seeks to fill a

W3-Professorship of General Psychology
with Focus on Cognitive Psychology,

effective 01. April 2021. 

Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in the area of General Psychology with Focus on Cognitive Psychology in their research and to comprehensively cover this subject in lectures according to the existing exam regulations (B.Sc. / M.Sc.). Research of the successful candidate should demonstrate a link to the departmental focus areas and contribute to the development of the research profile of the Department of Psychology. Compatibility to interdisciplinary research networks (SMARTACT, Cluster Collective Behaviour, Cluster Inequality) is desirable.

Recruitment requirements are a university degree as well as a doctorate in psychology, habilitation or equivalent scientific achievement, internationally visible and outstanding scientific achievements, significant publications in international peer-reviewed journals, successful acquisition of third-party funding as well as didactic proficiency.
