The University of the West of Scotland is a leading-edge modern University driving an ambitious strategy for high-quality teaching and excellent research with a global engagement agenda to reflect the needs of the 21st Century workplace.  The School of Computing Engineering and Physical Sciences at UWS is well established in addition to being an internationally recognised multidisciplinary academic centre.  The School is seeking to grow its Cyber Security team through the full-time appointment of a Lecturer in the areas of Cyber/Network Security, and Digital Forensics.

This is an exciting time to be joining the University as our MEng and MSc Cyber Security programmes, at our award-winning Lanarkshire Campus, continue to grow. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, committed to develop, and deliver, high quality, engaging and compelling education in our dedicated teaching labs to influence the direction of our Cyber Security Education and Research.

We would welcome applications from individuals with relevant industrial and/or research experience in one or more of the fields of Cyber Security, Digital Forensics and Network/Information Security to inspire the next generation of Cyber Security professionals. Candidates with experience in developing NCSC-accredited or other leading industry certification programmes are particularly encouraged to apply.

The post will be based at our Lanarkshire Campus with some scheduled activities at our other campus locations and will contribute to our international activity as required. The School’s research is organised into a close and sociable community of industry-focused inter-disciplinary research groups and the successful applicant should exhibit the ability to proactively collaborate ensuring future external income and enhance the impact of their commercial activities/research.
