Course Director for Digital Pedagogies
Leeds Beckett University – Carnegie School of Education
Ref: REQ0000267
Full-time, permanent
Grade 9, £51,034 - £60,905

This is an exciting time to join the Carnegie School of Education at Leeds Beckett University. As well as becoming one of the best performing providers of teacher education in the country, we’ve developed a reputation for innovation in our teaching, curriculum and partnership work. We’ve also created a strategy to embed research into everything we do but not just any research – we want to develop research that improves the life chances of children and young people, creating real impact in regional, national and international contexts. We’re also committed to embedding our practice into our extensive partnership, funding collaborative practitioner research in schools, evaluating private sector corporate and social responsibility projects and supporting social enterprises to build capacity.

We’re seeking to appoint an inspirational and creative Course Director for Digital Pedagogies to lead our online provision as well as working across the School on key technology projects such as our virtual reality and our IBM partnership. You will have a first degree and a doctorate in a relevant area and be able to demonstrate an outstanding record of achievement in developing, teaching and leading digital pedagogy. In addition, you should have a track record of high quality, impactful research as well as experience of supervising postgraduate research students.

Potential candidates are encouraged to make informal contact with the Head of Teacher Education Dr Steve Burton:

Closing date: 4 February 2020 (Midnight).
