Description

During the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2019-20 academic year the Humanities Collegiate Division, the Department of Cinema & Media Studies, and the Program on Media Arts and Design may have part-time teaching opportunities for instructors to teach courses that count towards the Media Arts and Design minor.  We seek instructors for practice-oriented courses in areas that include virtual reality production, augmented reality development, and programming for Unity game development.

Responsibilities will include preparing lecture- and/or workshop-style classes, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparation and grading of assignments and testing materials.

Minimum qualifications are a MA/MFA or PhD in a related field, and at least one year of experience teaching at the university or post-secondary level.

Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year.   In 2019-20, the per-course salary is $6,861.  This position is not benefits eligible.
