The role

The Operational Services department supports the whole of Information Services (IS) through the provision of contract, financial, procurement and asset management services. Also included within this department is responsibility for the business planning.

This position will be required to work closely with subject matter experts from within IS and other areas of the University to arrange and negotiate new contracts (including Legal Services, Finance and Risk Management).

What you will be doing

  • Preparation and review of IS related contracts including professional services, software licensing, hardware and support services, master services agreements and renewals
  • Arrangement and negotiation of new, changed or extension of contracts
  • Administration of IS contracts to a professional standard and in line with relevant and provided University policies, procedures and guidelines. Frequently this will require negotiation with various parts of the University and with external parties.
  • Maintaining appropriate administrative governance of IS contracts.
  • Providing advice regarding IS contract matters.
  • Refining IS contracts and procedures within the parameters of relevant University policies.

About you

You are a conscientious and proactive individual that enjoys a vibrant work environment. You will be a good communicator and negotiator with strong interpersonal skills and experience engaging with various levels of an organisation.

You have:

  • Strong knowledge of licensing agreements involving software, including Microsoft, SAP and other software.
  • Strong knowledge of different IS contract types, including professional services, software development, software as a service, and platform as a service contracts.
